About us

Built for the way South African small teams actually work

1Pass started with a simple idea: small businesses should not have to choose between convenience and control when it comes to logins. In many South African teams, the same people handle finance, sales, operations and customer service, often across shared files, cloud apps and remote work. That makes access management a daily issue, not just an IT one.

We work with teams that need to keep passwords out of inboxes, reduce the risk of staff using personal notes or recycled credentials, and bring order to who can access what. Our focus is on making secure access easy enough for everyday use, even when the team is busy, someone is working from home, or the power is out for a few hours in the afternoon.

Our story from Woodstock to teams nationwide

We are based in Woodstock, Cape Town, with support for clients in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Gqeberha, Stellenbosch, Century City and remote teams across the country. We work from Woodstock, Cape Town, helping smaller firms with clear setup, plain language guidance and support that does not waste time.

Our Managing Director, Lukhanyo Maseko, has kept the company focused on solving the real day to day admin around digital access. That means helping a five person business set up proper controls, or supporting a larger team that has grown quickly and now needs permission mapping, offboarding rules and quarterly access checks. We do not try to overcomplicate the job. We make it manageable.

How we approach security without making work harder

We believe security works best when it fits the way people already operate. If a system is too hard to use, staff find workarounds. That is where risk starts. Our process is designed to reduce friction while still keeping access properly managed.

  • We begin with an Initial Security Review to understand how your team currently stores and shares access.
  • We then handle Platform Setup, SSO Configuration and Vault Structure Design so the foundations are correct from the start.
  • Permission Mapping helps match access to roles, not guesses or old habits.
  • Password Migration is planned carefully so teams can move over without confusion.
  • Offboarding Process Design makes it easier to remove access cleanly when staff leave or roles change.

This is practical work, not theory. A good setup should save time for the person who manages admin and reduce the chance of missed accounts, old shared logins or unexpected lockouts.

The people behind the support

Our team is made up of people who understand both the technical side and the people side of access control. Siyanda Mdletshe oversees operations, Revasha Moodley looks after customer success, Kgosi Kgosana manages implementations, Ruan van der Merwe handles security engineering, Zinhle Khumalo coordinates training, and Zaheer Davids leads technical support. Each of them plays a part in making sure clients are supported from the first rollout through to steady day to day use.

That mix matters because most small businesses do not need jargon, they need someone who can explain what to do, why it matters and how to keep things moving. We answer real questions about team onboarding, admin roles, shared vaults and user changes. If a manager is setting up access for the first time or a business is tidying up after years of mixed habits, we walk through it step by step. It is a bit more hands-on than people expect, and that usually makes the difference.

What clients can expect when we work together

We aim to keep the process organised and clear from the first conversation. Most businesses come to us because they want fewer password headaches, better visibility over access and a system that staff will actually use. We support that with onboarding, training and ongoing team support, including Quarterly Access Reviews and Remote Rollout Support for distributed teams.

  • Clear setup advice for small businesses and growing teams
  • Training for users and admins so everyone knows what to do
  • Support for remote teams across South Africa, including hybrid setups
  • Processes that suit real working conditions, from load-shedding to coastal humidity in equipment rooms
  • Practical follow through after launch, not just a one-time handover

We also keep an eye on the details that often get missed, such as how new staff are added, how access is removed, and who signs off on changes. That kind of structure helps teams avoid confusion later on.

Why values matter in access management

Our values are simple: clarity, trust, accountability and responsiveness. Clarity means explaining things properly. Trust means handling access with care. Accountability means doing what we said we would do. Responsiveness means being available when a team needs help, especially during rollout or when something urgent changes.

We also value practical discipline. Good security is not only about tools, it is about habits. A business that reviews access regularly, trains new staff properly and keeps records tidy is far better placed to avoid trouble. That applies whether the team is in an office in Cape Town or split between cities and home offices. We help clients build those habits in a way that fits their size and pace, without turning the process into a burden.

Questions we get asked

Who is 1Pass best suited to?

We are best suited to small business teams that need a clear way to manage passwords, user access and sign-in across multiple apps. That includes businesses with office staff, remote staff or a mix of both.

Do you support teams outside Cape Town?

Yes. We support clients in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Gqeberha, Stellenbosch, Century City and across South Africa through remote onboarding and ongoing support.

What happens when a new employee joins or someone leaves?

We help set up onboarding and offboarding processes so access can be added, changed or removed in a controlled way. That includes user training, admin training and quarterly access reviews where needed.
